Baseball/Softball Field Map
*Tee-Ball is offered within Junior League Baseball for Pre-K and Kindergartners. This is a co-ed league and will have all girl and all boy teams that play each other.*Copper- 1st and 2nd graders- $140 Kindergarten may play in this league if they are 6 years old by May 1st. This league will have an Opening Night and an 8-game season. This league will be COACH PITCH ONLY- NO TEES will be used for this league. Copper is for softball players who are ready for the next level of softball after Tee Ball. This is an instructional league. Coach will pitch from a safe distance to encourage success at the plate. The batters will have a maximum of 6 pitches (at that time if there is no hit, it will be a walk to first base.). There will be a minimum of 5 batters allowed each inning (so not all players are guaranteed to bat each inning). 3 outs (in the field) or 4 runs will end the inning after the minimum of 5 batters have batted.
Bronze -3rd/4th/5th graders- $140 This league will have an 8-game season with a Post-Season Skills Competition. This league will be a COACH PITCH ONLY league. This is a developmental league designed for softball players who are ready for the next level of softball where at bats per player may be more limited. Coach will pitch from the pitching zone to encourage success at the plate. The batters will have a maximum of 6 pitches (at that time if there is no hit, it will be a strike out). The league will keep score, but no standings. Team’s “At-Bat” will end when 3 outs are made (including strikeouts) or 5 runs are scored.
**MAY ONLY PLAY UP UPON COMPLETION OF EVALUATION WITH BASELINE SKILL MET AND PLAYER HAS PLAYED AT PYAA IN SILVER SOFTBALL BEFORE. IF EVALUATION IS NOT COMPLETED, PLAYER WILL BE DEFAULTED TO BRONZE LEAGUE.)
Silver -6th, 7th, 8th graders- $165 This league will have an 8-game season with a Post-Season Tournament. This league will be a KID PITCH ONLY league. This is a competitive rec league. The teams will be chosen via a draft and only two coaches per team permitted pre-draft (3 max). This league will keep score and will keep standings. Tournament seedings will be based on standings. All players MUST ATTEND EVALUATIONS. If any player younger than 6th grade registers for this league and is determined they are not ready for Silver play based on evaluations, they will be placed in Bronze league.
Silver Assessments - Will be held at PYAA complex. Spring Date; Sunday March 17th. Time: 2pm. (Weather permitting)
Due to a draft for teams - Team requests will not be guaranteed.
